For YEOGIEOTTAE, ‘travel destinations’ everywhere are important. Because when there is a clean and well-preserved travel destination, our services are also meaningful. We are fulfilling our responsibility to ensure that beautiful tourist destinations are passed on to countless generations.

I’m solving my worries in the most confident and ‘YEOGIEOTTAE-like’ and pleasant way. We introduce the possibility of eco-friendly travel through various activities, such as taking small actions for the environment while enjoying your trip to the fullest. 

In 2022, we created ‘Ssbong Club (Korean abbreviation for trash bag club)’ to spread the plogging culture of naturally picking up trash while traveling. It's a name that sticks in your mouth. 

Season 1, “Grapes are the biggest peak! Hiking is the best! “We are SSBONG!”

SSBONG CLUB Season 1 focused on mountain cleaning. In fall, the mountains with beautiful fall foliage are crowded with tourists. As it is a popular travel destination during the intensive season, the need for plogging was also great. YEOGIEOTTAE climbed 8 mountains a week for 8 weeks with mountain-loving mountaineering club YouTubers.

About 2,000 club members participated in the autumn mountain cleaning. There were many people who sympathized with the purpose of SSBONG CLUB, from club members who directly participated in plogging to those who brought garbage bags with the promise of future use. Thanks to this, a total of 1,600 liters of trash was collected in a short period of time. What a refreshing and refreshing trip! 🥰

Season 2, “From Seoul to Jeju”, plogging everywhere

In Season 2, the plogging area expanded to every corner of the country. SSOBNG CLUB members were active in various places, including Seoul, Busan, Gangwon, and Jeju. 

In particular, following the momentum of Season 1, there were many people who voluntarily participated in plogging in Season 2. Including ‘Tripholic’, YEOGIEOTTAE’s representative traveler community, people in clubs for hobbies such as running, hiking, and futsal even tried plogging. It is said that the experience of plogging a nearby travel destination in daily life, briefly after a run or while hiking, was a new experience.

As the number of club members increases in each region, plogging locations have also become more diverse, from travel destinations in the metropolitan area such as Seokchon Lake Park and Namsan to the beaches of Jeju, which are visited by the most tourists every year. Thanks to this, we were able to collect close to 100,000 liters of trash by finishing season 2. 

SSBONG CLUB’s efforts will continue until the day when ‘garbage bags’ become an essential item in many people’s travel backpacks. 💪
